This is an illustration I created for Ryan North's Romeo & Juliet adaptation, Romeo And/Or Juliet.
It shows the extremely well-known moment from the play when Romeo is set upon by a herd of bloodthirsty vampire horses.
I created this image in collage fashion, using imagery from 19th-century periodicals. In the book it's only red, black, and white, but this print version has been newly colored by Marcus Parcus.
The caption reads: “As soon as the beasts smelled blood, they were on him—like a baying pack of terrible, horse-shaped wolves”
Print is either 8.5 x 11" or 11 x 14" on matte bristol.
All prints come signed by default! If you want some specific inscription or dedication, let me know in the instructions box.
