This is an illustration I created for Ryan North's scholarly book, William Shakespeare Punches A Friggin' Shark.
In this image, the Bard finds himself alone on a desert island, his only pastime continuing to write books. Sadly, he perishes there, though one hopes, not without having enjoyed his final days.
I created this image in collage fashion, using imagery from 19th-century periodicals.
The caption reads: “Please forgive the tardiness of this letter, as I have been occupied of late with rotting into the sand”
Print is either 8.5 x 11" or 11 x 14" on matte bristol.
All prints come signed by default! If you want some specific inscription or dedication, let me know in the instructions box.
