This is one of two illustrations I created for Ryan North's Hamlet adaptation, To Be or Not To Be.
It dramatizes the moment when Rosencrantz and Guildenstern bear a letter to the King of England instructing that they are to be slain.
I created this image in collage fashion, using imagery from 19th-century periodicals. It was colored by Sarah Barcyzk.
The caption reads: “As this letter instructs, I shall do; for these men, these strangers, are to me as beasts”
Print is either 8.5 x 11" or 11 x 14" on matte bristol. Prints ship in a rigid mailer for safety!
