Way back in December 2008, I designed, wrote, and hand-printed a limited-edition desk calendar for the year 2009.
I have recently unearthed a handful of copies which I am offering for your use in 2026 (because it works! Mostly!).
The following caveats to its use apply:
- Good Friday and Easter are mislabeled (in 2026, Easter falls on April 5)
- Wondermark's 6th Birthday should actually be "23rd Birthday"
- Juneteenth is not included (should be June 20)
- This generation of the calendar also omitted some other holidays, such as the special Wondermark holidays.
Each calendar contains 12 loose cards, featuring artwork and a bit of dark verse, plus a front and back cover. Note that the weeks begin with Monday -- at that time, I preferred to group the weekend days together.
Each calendar was painstakingly hand-printed using a procedure which I subsequently abandoned because it was so laborious and difficult (see the video here, shot at the time) -- but I am pleased to report the actual printed calendars have held up extremely well.
Each calendar is designed to sit in an easel on your desk, or be displayed in some other logical way. Easel is not included.
